RRR-, 2 pennies 1938, DESTRUKT - "struck thru"

A very rare destruct unheard of on the auction market - obverse and reverse stamped through a "foreign body" that came between the stamp and the still unstamped disc. A great rarity!
In collections of coins of the last century, struck by machine in great quantities, it is not the quantity of coins that indicates the quality of the collection, but the number of gems in it. There is no higher class of gems than low-volume SAMPLES, and even rarer than these, created by accident, interesting minting errors (offsets, reverses).
